LOST PRODUCT KEY - VISTA PREMIUM - MID 2000 OS

Mon, 22/05/2017 - 9:43pm
My son gave me a computer some 8-10 years ago that runs Vista Premium. Trying to upgrade to Windows 7 or 8.1 then to 10. I evidently never registered it on my MS account, so the free upgrade is not available to me for this computer. I own several MS Windows OS and products. My son has moved 2x and been deployed to Afghanistan since he gave me the computer. ..does not have any idea where code is. Please help?

Hotmail Blocking Itself as Spammer

Mon, 24/04/2017 - 2:39pm

I have recently experienced an inability to send email from my hotmail account to users of other email systems. Specifically, I get a bounce from postmaster@outlook.com saying:

Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

xxx@yyy.com
A problem occurred during the delivery of this message. Please try to resend the message later.

Subject: Re: zzz

"xxx@yyy" replaces the original intended recipient's email address and "Re: zzz" replaces the original subject line.

The issue appears to be that Hotmail has labeled its own IP address as the origination of so much spam that it now blocks emails from that IP address, thwarting my ability to send a normal email to a normal person. Obviously, that sucks for me.

Thanks,

--Tom.

Windows Vista Business 64bit SLSVC won't start automatically but will start manually using CMD prompt

Thu, 06/04/2017 - 8:09pm

I've checked everywhere and can't locate my issue.  Running Vista Business 64Bit and OCCASIONALLY the slsvc service will not start automatically.  I am able to start in in CMD using "net service start slsvc" with no errors however whenever I restart my computer (valid key attached) there's a 50 percent chance the slsvc will not start automatically.  I did confirm that it is set to AUTOMATIC in services.  I did today have the same issue and was able to restart the slsvc.  I also ran the diagnostic tool and came up with the following:

Is there anything anyone can see that points to the issue I'm having?  If not, I will run the tool again whenever the slsvc stops again.  For the record I had no issues when I reinstalled Vista on this computer.  I had for awhile used Linux and decided to go back to Vista (originally this computer had Vista Business installed).

I'm not interested in Windows 7 or Windows 10 as I already have both on other machines.  Thank you for your help

Nem tudom letölteni a frissítéseket ( SP1 - SP2 sem telepíthető)

Tue, 21/03/2017 - 4:41am

A Windows frissítések soha sem települtek. Próbálom a gépet áletre kelteni, de belső hibára hivatkozva a szervizcsomagok nem telepíthetők.

Sat, 11/03/2017 - 9:01pm
I waited too long to activate Office 2016. When I try to activate with the product key I get a message that indicates the key cannot be located

Activation Issue

Sat, 11/03/2017 - 5:22am

So I get the free upgrade from windows 10 last yr and so far its working fine for me but when i decided to upgrade my proci and mobo then suddenly my OS starts asking me for an activation code which i dont know what it is cause when i check the system before i upgrade it said that it only digitally entitled or activated the code (if i remember correctly) so i don't know what im gonna do right now.
