I have unintentionally deleted Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage and cant access my outlook contacts. How can I get a copy of the "CD Rom" which my system asks me to install so that it can install what i need?

Windows key doesn't seem to be functioning.

Windows Genuine Disadvantage [XP] - Wed, 06/04/2016 - 1:22am

Hello,

I am currently having an issue with my Windows key. Whenever I do the keys (Windows key + S), it doesn't seem to show the search menu at all. I recently started having this issue a few days ago. It works totally fine with the R key, yet I am not too sure why it doesn't work for the S function key. I believe some other keys work, and some don't. Specifically whenever I try to do a command with the Windows key.

Another issue: Whenever there is a program on my taskbar. I try to right click it to close it, nothing really happens at all. When I left click on the date, where it shows the time etc. It doesn't seem to open, nothing really happens at all. I can't really close programs just by right clicking it on the taskbar and hit close. I physically have to go to the window and hit the "X" at the top to close it. If you happen to know any solutions for the two problems, please reply back!

Thank you.

Major Computer Issues with Windows

Windows Genuine Disadvantage [XP] - Fri, 01/04/2016 - 9:17pm
I've been having major issues with my computer and certain browser or game windows. The screen will continually bug out and the icon on the taskbar follows in suit. When the screen adjusts, any typing I was doing disappears. I end up having to paste in text and quickly hit enter to chat in a game. This is incredibly bothersome and I was told that it may have to do with Windows 10. I've pretty much explained it, but If a youtube video would help, posting one wouldn't be a problem. Apologies if this is the wrong forum section, I wasn't completely sure which one to put it under.

Windows 10 - hp Laptop telling me I need to reactivate Windows on desktop

Windows Genuine Disadvantage [Vista] - Sat, 19/03/2016 - 11:39pm
Obviously as the title says my laptop tells me I need to reactivated Windows and some people may say "Just ignore it!" as many in fact have I cannot because for some reason whatever happened has disabled damn near everything on it. Start Menu, Taskbar, any and all programs ever installed are in disuse due to my apparent 'deactivation' of Windows. Is there a way to refresh my laptop from BIOS menu at the start or do I have to reinstall Windows?

XP Pro for Embedded Systems End of Distribution

Windows Genuine Disadvantage [XP] - Tue, 08/03/2016 - 6:13pm

Hello,

First off, I was told to post this here by a Microsoft Partner Network Technical Support Engineer.

I work for a medical company which produced digital xray imaging equipment.  We currently have an OEM manufacture our custom computer tower which is running on Windows XP Pro for Embedded Systems.  The OEM customers which we sell to have reasons for not being able up change the operating systems on these models and/or would like us to be able to continue to provide them with service stock (replacement towers) for 10 years.  One of our customers in particular has over 1,000 of these x-ray systems deployed across the world.  We have been told that the End of Distribution for XP will be 12-31-2016, and we have reached out to our computer manufacturer with the question of how we can continue to support our customers with existing XP systems in the field. (replacing a failed computer tower or hard drive with new)  Initially we were told nothing could leave our building with XP after the end of distribution date.  Our computer OEM reached out to Microsoft with these questions and we received the following answer:

Regarding XP Pro for Embedded Systems.

XP Professional for Embedded Systems end of distribution date is 12/31/2016 for the 32 bit version and 4-25-2020 for the 64 bit version, although security updates have already ceased.

It is also possible to deploy an XP system after 12-31-2016 using Windows 7 FES COA with some conditions.

1) it has to be an existing image on an existing product line (no new XP based products)

2) it has to utilize XP OEM activation.

3) it is understood that Microsoft will provide no fixes, support or help of any sort

The above statement came from our computer manufacture who is a Microsoft OEM.  I would like to verify this information with Microsoft directly as Microsoft controls the licensing and rules for use, not the OEM.  I would hate to ship a replacement tower to one of our customers in January 2017 and it come back on us and our only rebuttal being that a 3rd party said it was ok.  By the statement above regarding continued distribution of our legacy XP systems, it sounds like:

1) Continued Sales of our Legacy product with existing image utilizing XP OEM activation (This may be allowed??????)

2) Replacement hardware (hard drive or replacement tower) with existing XP image and XP OEM activation would be allowed?

Microsoft Validation hoops too much BS

Windows Genuine Disadvantage [Vista] - Tue, 01/03/2016 - 12:50am

Just how the heck do you prove windows is legal? I've been running around in circles for a month on the WEB, the phone trying to translate and decipher what a M$ employee in India said, email and I cant find ANYPLACE to submit this information! Microsoft, PLEASE!!! My W7 Pro x86 is LEGAL!!!. I have the scanned in images of the COA, my order, my credit card I used for purchase and anything required. If I had a 1st born I would offer him as well. This is ridiculous!

Tell me to whom and where to send a scanned in copy of the order, COA, my 1st born (please) and anything else to get this software validated! It's LEGAL!

Vista 64 windows home premium error code 0xC004E002 at login

Windows Genuine Disadvantage [Vista] - Mon, 29/02/2016 - 12:42am

I am getting  error code 0xC004E002. at login.. just after I enter my password. it gives this error and if you click ok it just cycles back to the login screen.

I get the same problem in safe mode.

My only way of getting to a command prompt is to use safe mode with command prompt.

Can I get any help..

Thank you.
